Capitol (10 Kent Terrace)

Elegant and smart, but relaxed and welcoming, Capitol is perched on the edge of the city, right next to the Embassy Cinema. With two walls comprised predominantly of windows and being on the corner of an intersection with traffic lights, it has always reminded me of a fish bowl – but in a good way. It is much smaller than I anticipated, but that only adds to the ambience of the restaurant and it definitely doesn’t feel cramped inside. The staff are all very professional but still really friendly, and the service is exceptional. The food is absolutely mouth-watering: fresh, delicate and well-thought out. In the past Capitol hasn’t accepted bookings, but this has recently changed so that you can book in and save your spot.
