La Boca Loca (19 Park Road, Miramar)

Mexican is always a bit of fun, and La Boca Loca is no different. Located out of the CBD, I was more than happy to escape to Miramar in order to try somewhere new. With plenty of on street parking, it’s not even a pain if you have a car. The restaurant’s interior is basically divided into two halves and we found ourselves in the window seat near the bar. The place is bright, colourful and appropriately crammed full of gimmicky Mexican knick-knacks. The menu is more wholesome than other Mexican restaurants in Wellington, and by that I mean not only did they feel more healthy (my tacos were wholemeal), it felt more of a ‘substantial meal’ place as opposed to just tapas. The staff were super lovely too. Being in the Entertainment Book, I know I’ll be back to La Boca Loca!
