Matterhorn (106 Cuba Street)
Matterhorn screams sophistication and elegance. Arrive through the long mystical tunnel, and choose to enter the bar or the restaurant. It spreads far and wide, and even has a cute little courtyard. The drinks menu is exquisite; from the pages and pages of cocktails to the enormous arrays of whiskeys, ports and other spirits. The dinner menu is delectable; each element of every dish is carefully thought out and enhances the other components in the dish. Admittedly, Matterhorn is definitely one of the more expensive places around town – but it is worth it if you are after a truly special fine-dining experience. They have opened their doors to brunch on the weekends now also; I am yet to go, but have heard it is delightful!
