Review: La Rumbla

on

La Rumbla is a tapa style restaurant tucked away on the main street of Arrowtown. It is vibrant, modern and fun-feeling. The staff are all extremely knowledgeable about the food and drink which they are serving, which is always a good thing.

My boyfriend and his family had always spoken so highly of La Rumbla, but it was always booked out when we wanted to go. This time we booked well in advance, so we knew that we were getting a table inside (I noticed that lots of people were still sitting outside with blankets… which were definitely needed because it was awfully crisp!).

The menu had about twenty items on it, most of which sounded appealing. We were instructed by the waitress to order approximately two per person, although some dishes were bigger/smaller (somewhat indicated by the price).

We ordered a range of meat, seafood and vegetarian dishes and really enjoyed them all. I would advise going hungry and picking quite a range of options. The food just comes out as its ready, so it is always possible to tack an extra order on the end if you start thinking you might not have enough food.
